The Zukunft Personal 2016 was all about work 4.0 – including my own presentation. I addressed the challenges heads of HR and training staff will have to overcome in the future.
The leading trade fair took place from 18 to 20 October in Cologne and served as a meeting point for HR professionals, trainers and educational experts from all over Germany. The effects industry 4.0 has on the qualification of employees was the central subject of conversation.
Industry 4.0 connects data, machines and processes. This causes many changes in the work environment, which in turn has consequences for dual vocational education and training and further training that is based on it. Some skills and bits of knowledge are not needed anymore, while new ones have to be acquired. And training itself changes, too. Digital media and new technologies are increasingly used in learning and development. My presentation addresses the challenges work 4.0 poses for HR professionals, training staff, teachers and educators. It is based on experiences we at DEKRA Media have gathered in a joint project with the Federal Institute for Vocational Education and Training (BIBB).
